Every second year, in the July school holidays, the Professor Harry Messel International Science School is held over the span of two weeks to give intellectually gifted students from across the globe an experience they will never forget and encourage them to reach for their dreams.
The two weeks are packed full of lectures from leading researchers, professors and other influential people from all over the world, including Australia's very own Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, as well as demonstrations and hands on activities in all the major science departments across the University of Sydney and a day-long Science and Engineering Challenge from the University of Newcastle.
Daniel Chadwick was accepted into this prestigious program and spent the two weeks taking in
as much information as possible and making heaps of new friends as well.
Daniel was one of the 140 students from Australia, China, Japan, India, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand USA and United Kingdom who gained admission to this prestigious event. The scholarship he received was worth $3500 and was based on his achievements in Year 10 and 11.
We would like congratulate Daniel on his achievement.
