Getting to and from school safely
As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.
Keep our school community safe by:
- driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
- being a good role model
- never calling your child from across the road
- using the safest place to cross the road.
For independent travellers

Subsidised school travel
Transport for NSW provides subsidies to assist school students.
- The School Student Transport Scheme provides eligible students with free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school.
- The School Drive Subsidy may help towards the costs of driving children to school if you live in an area where there is no public transport.
Subsidy is available for eligible school students, who are residents of NSW and where there is no public transport available for all or part of their journey to school. School Drive Subsidy is paid based on the distance between the student’s home and the nearest transport pick up point or school. The School Drive Subsidy may also be available on medical grounds. To see if you are eligible, go to www.transport.nsw.gov.au/schooldrive
School Drive Subsidy Application Form
A new School Drive Subsidy (PDF 215KB) form is required to be filled out on the commencement of High School (they are not carried across from Primary School). These forms are available for collection from the front office.

The travel needs of students are to be considered within the context of syllabus outcomes in the development of Individual Learning Plans and discussed with parents at each annual review.
Continued access to travel assistance will be dependent upon an annual review of students' travel support needs and ongoing eligibility for access to the ASTP.

- Change Request form (PDF 237.73KB), where changes to current travel support arrangements are required.
