Congratulations to the KHS students who formed the inaugural Youth Committee for the 2016 Rylstone Show.
The 2016 Youth Committee consisted of Reece Oldfield (President), Riley Murphy (Secretary), Jemma Keeley, Tamika Desch, Quinn MacDonald-Webster, Callum MacDonald-Webster, Cameron Derwent, Bailey McKay and Jye Cork.
The Youth Committee supports the Show Society by helping in and around the showground with various tasks. These included a number of meetings to organise music, performers and sound equipment, also the young farmer's challenge, set up and assisting with the horse events, helping with sheep and cattle, setting up the main arena, bar, gazebos and the hall with exhibitions.
The Show Society acknowledged the Youth Committee at the sponsor's dinner at the Rylstone Club on Friday night before the show.
The Youth Committee was initiated by Mrs Leanne Neilsen, as students were showing in interest in being in the Show Society.
Thank you to Mrs Kerry Reynolds who was the School Coordinator, and assisted the students with their performances. The students who performed were Keiran Stokes, Jasmine Kernaghan, Jasmine Robinson, Zoe Brown and Kendall Goldspink.
Thank you also goes to Mr Scott Neilsen, who supplied the embroided shirts for the Youth Committee.
Well done to these hard working young adults, who contributed to a successful 2016 Rylstone Show.
